Our preparation process

What happens before
you see the listing

Four stages. Every van. No exceptions.

STEP01

Multi-point inspection

When a van arrives at OutletVans it goes straight into our workshop. A trained technician completes a 30-point inspection covering engine, transmission, brakes, steering, suspension, electrics, lights, tyres and bodywork.

Engine oil condition & level

Coolant, brake fluid & power steering fluid

Tyre depth & condition on all four corners

Brake pad & disc wear

All exterior lights & indicators

STEP02

Service & fluid replacement

Every van receives a full oil and filter service regardless of mileage. Any fluids that fall below standard are replaced. Worn belts, air filters and spark plugs are swapped out before the van goes on sale.

Fresh engine oil & new oil filter

Air filter replaced if required

Cabin pollen filter checked

Brake fluid replaced if over 2 years old

Battery health tested & load tested

STEP03

Safety & road-test

After the workshop signs off, every van is road-tested by one of our team over a fixed route. We check ride quality, brake performance, gear selection, heating and air conditioning, and all driver assistance systems.

STEP04

HPI check & paperwork

Every van is HPI-checked before sale and all documentation — V5, service history, MOT certificate — is verified and presented with the van. For CAT S and CAT N vehicles we include the repair certification from our approved bodyshop.

A note on CAT S & CAT N

These vans are
better value,
not worse quality.

A CAT S or CAT N classification is an insurance category — it does not mean the van is unsafe or unroadworthy. CAT N means cosmetic damage only — no structural involvement. CAT S means there was structural damage that has since been professionally repaired and certified.

Every CAT S van at OutletVans is repaired by an approved bodyshop and passes the same 30-point workshop inspection as any other van on our forecourt. You get the same quality — at a significantly lower price.
